Songwriter Bob Dylan was not present to accept the Nobel Prize for Literature at a ceremony in Stockholm today.
Instead, he was represented by friend and fellow songwriter Patti Smith.
The first songwriter to be a laureate in literature, Dylan said other commitments made it impossible for him to attend.
