A Co Clare man is bringing a message of equality to the United Nations on World Down Syndrome Day.
Fionn Crombie Angus, 28, is one of ten people with Down syndrome from across the world speaking at the 14th World Down Syndrome Day conference at the UN headquarters in New York.
Fionn will be speaking about improving support systems for people with Down syndrome.
"When I left secondary school, the options offered (Day Services) didn't provide enough choice, or support my goals," Fionn explains.
"So I asked for the money that would have gone to the service provider. I was the first with Down syndrome to do this.
Ten years later, I've learned a lot about self-directed supports, and I believe everyone with Down syndrome should have this option, across Ireland and around the world," he added.
Fionn also has a YouTube series exploring what people love about their lives. His most recent interview is with Oscar-winner Kieran Culkin in New York.
