A plane carrying former US President Donald Trump made an emergency landing in New Orleans after experiencing engine failure over the Gulf of Mexico, according to media reports.
The Washington Post, citing three people familiar with the episode, said the plane had gone about 100km from a New Orleans airport before turning around.
A Trump representative did not immediately return a request for comment on the incident, which was also reported today by Politico.
The plane was returning Mr Trump to his home in Palm Beach, Florida last Saturday evening from a New Orleans hotel where he had been speaking to Republican Party donors at a private event.
Politico reported that the Republican National Committee, which hosted the event, reached out to a donor and found the former US president another plane.
