A man in his 30s has died following a crash involving a tractor in Co Cavan.
Shortly before 12.40pm yesterday, gardaí and emergency services responded to the crash on a local road in Ardkill Beg, Carrickaboy.
The man, who was driving the tractor, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Cavan Monaghan General Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, in particular any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and who were travelling in the area between 9am and 12.40pm, to contact Cavan Garda Station on 049 436 8800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
