Name of man in Portadown murder inquiry released by PSNI

The victim at the centre of a murder inquiry in Portadown has been named by the PSNI as 49-year-old Rolandas Kvederis.

Two men in their 50s were arrested in connection with the incident following the death of Mr Kvederis on Thursday.

One of the men was released unconditionally this morning while the other remains in custody after police were granted additional time to question him.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Bradley said: "Shortly after 11pm, we received a report of an altercation at a property in the Ranfurley Road area.

"Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. Sadly, Mr Kvederis was pronounced dead at the scene."

The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to make it available to them.
