Woman dies after collision between bus and car in Belfast

A woman has died after a collision between a bus and a car in Belfast, Co Antrim this morning.

The incident happened at around 8am on the Ballyrobin Road to Belfast International Airport.

The driver of a black Citroen C1 was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the bus, a man in his sixties, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The main road to the airport remains closed and the PSNI has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

"Our enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have digital footage which could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 341 14/02/26," it said.
