A pregnant woman in her 30s has died following a two-car collision in Co Antrim.

Cathrene Kith Quiñones Singco died in hospital as a result of her injuries. The PSNI said her unborn baby also died.

The collision happened on the Moira Road, Crumlin, at approximately 2pm yesterday.

It involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a silver Skoda Superb which collided near Nutts Corner.

Confirming Ms Quiñones Singco's death, Detective Inspector Stewart of the Collision Investigation Unit said: "Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time."

She had been a backseat passenger in one of the cars, the PSNI added.

A man in his 30s, also a passenger in the same car, was critically injured.

The PSNI said a number of other people sustained minor injuries in the collision.

Det Insp Stewart appealed for witnesses to come forward.
