Police are investigating a serious road traffic crash in Co Fermanagh.

The collision occurred at around 7pm last night and involved a Bus Éireann express service coach and another vehicle.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it had sent personnel to the scene on the Derrylin Road out of Enniskillen.

"The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 19:00 on Friday 28 November following reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Derrylin Road, Enniskillen," the NIAS said in a statement.

"NIAS despatched two Rapid Response Paramedics, two Emergency Crews and an Ambulance Officer to the incident.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no patients were taken to hospital."

It is understood passengers on the bus sustained relatively minor injuries.

Bus Éireann confirmed the coach involved was the Dublin to Donegal service.

"Bus Éireann can confirm that yesterday evening, 28 November, one of our Expressway Route 30 services was involved in a serious road traffic collision involving another vehicle in the Derrylin Road area of Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh," it said in a statement this morning.

"Emergency services and Bus Éireann personnel attended the scene.

"The safety of our passengers, staff and the public is of paramount importance to Bus Éireann. We will provide any assistance required to the relevant authorities.

"No further information is available at this time."

The PSNI said the road was closed for a time and has since reopened.
