Emergency services in Northern Ireland responded to a fire at an unused building at a hospital in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.
The alarm was raised after 11am when the fire broke out the Whiteabbey Hospital.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said that six fire appliances, two aerial appliances and 51 firefighters attended the blaze.
The fire service said that operational activities had since scaled down.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area while the fire is being attended to.
A spokesperson for the Northern Trust, the organisation that provides healthcare services at the hospital, said the fire service is currently at Whiteabbey Hospital dealing with a fire in an unused building on the hospital site.
"There is no impact on any patient services and visiting to the hospital is as normal," the spokesperson said.
