Police in Northern Ireland have issued an appeal following the theft of livestock in Omagh.

The theft was reported to have happened between 25 and 29 August around Camlough Road at Sixmilecross.

Police say that a number of bullocks, including Angus, Friesian and Charolais breeds, were taken. They are estimated to be worth between £20,000 to £30,000.

"We believe that it would have taken time and potentially a large vehicle or vehicles to transport the animals," the PSNI said.

An investigation is under way and police have appealed for anyone with information, CCTV or dash-cam footage that could help with their enquiries to contact them.
