A young boy has died after his scooter was hit by a car in Co Down.
The PSNI said the hit-and-run happened at The Strand in Portaferry on Tuesday night.
A red Skoda car was involved in a collision with the boy's scooter shortly after 11pm.
He was taken to hospital but later died.
A 51-year-old man was arrested.
The PSNI has appealed to witnesses to come forward.
