A family has escaped injury after a pipe bomb attack in Co Armagh.

The incident happened just after midnight in the village of Mullaghban in the south of the county.

The device was thrown at the front of a house in the Sliabh Mór area.

It exploded causing significant damage to the windows of the house.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland said a young family was inside the property at the time of the incident.

They were not harmed but were badly shaken.

The remains of the device have been taken away for forensic examination.

The PSNI said it is keen to establish a motive for the attack which has been condemned by local politicians.

It has appealed to anyone who saw any persons or vehicles acting suspiciously in the area, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 58 of 27/06/25.
