£1.5m worth of drugs seized in Co Antrim

Drugs worth an estimated £1.5 million (€1.8m) have been seized in Co Antrim.

Cocaine, cannabis and prescripton tablets were recovered during a search in the Dunadry area near Antrim town.

A quantity of ammunition was also seized.

The PSNI said that the drugs have been removed for forensic examination.

A related search was also carried out by officers at a premises in the area.

Detective Inspector Conor Sweeney said the force works "relentlessly to tackle the supply, use and harm caused by illegal drugs and we will continue to do this to disrupt and prevent those involved in drug-related activity.

"We would ask anyone who may have information about drug-related activity in their community to contact us."
