Police in Belfast have made an appeal for witnesses to come forward after reports a teenage girl was racially abused and punched in an incident in the city on Saturday night.
The incident, which happened in the Donegall Square East area, is being treated as a "racially motivated hate crime", the PSNI has said.
"We are investigating a report that sometime between 9.30pm and 10pm, a male aged in his late teens directed racial abuse towards a teenage girl and punched her in the face," the PSNI has said in a statement.
A second teenage girl also suffered a wrist injury after she was pushed to the ground.
The suspect is described as being around 1.77m (5'10) tall, of thin build and with fair hair.
He was wearing a white top, dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and sunglasses.
The PSNI have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or by ringing Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
