A man has been charged with the murder of pensioner Adam Krzan in Co Tyrone.

Mr Krzan, 71, was found with serious injuries at a flat in the Corrainey Park area of Dungannon on 27 February and died a short time later.

It is understood Mr Krzan was originally from Poland, but police said he had lived in the Dungannon area for more than 20 years.

Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team have charged a 33-year-old man with murder.

He also faces counts of robbery and going equipped for burglary.

He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

A 34-year-old man also arrested in connection with the murder remains in custody.

He was being questioned on suspicion of murder, assisting offenders, withholding information and perverting the course of justice.

The two men were arrested earlier after police conducted two searches in the Dungannon area.

A number of items, including a vehicle, were seized during the operation.
