Detectives investigating the murder of a man in his 70s in Co Tyrone last week have made further arrests.

Officers detained a 33-year-old man on suspicion of murder last night.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

The arrests bring to four the number of people held in relation to the murder of the man who was found dead in a flat at Corrainey Park, Dungannon on 27 February.

Two men in their 30s arrested in connection with the murder remain in custody.

It is understood the victim was originally from Poland, but police said he had lived in the Dungannon area for more than 20 years.

The attack happened at a block of flats on the edge of the Lisnahull estate at about 8pm on Thursday.

The pensioner was found badly injured in the living room of his home following an assault.

Neighbours later held a vigil in his memory.
