Two men have been charged with the murder of a woman in Co Down last weekend.

Karen Cummings, 40, died at a house in Banbridge on Saturday night.

Two men, aged 32 and 42, were arrested by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

They have been charged by detectives and are due to appear in court in Newry tomorrow.

The 32-year-old man is accused of murder and the 42-year-old is charged with murder, firearms-related offences and handling stolen goods.

Ms Cummings died after being found unconscious at the house in the Laurel Heights area of Banbridge.

She was a mother of two and worked in the paediatrics unit of Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry.
