Police are at the scene of a security alert in Co Derry with some residents being evacuated from their homes near the village of Maghera due to the discovery of a suspicious object.
The object was discovered in the Ranaghan Road area.
The public is being asked to avoid the area.
The police say they will issue an update in due course.
Diversions are in place at the junction of the Ballyknock Road and Tirkane Road.
