A teenager has died in a road crash near Buncrana, Co Donegal, in the early hours of this morning.
The crash occurred on the R244 at Ballinlough just after 5am.
The driver, who was aged in his late teens, was travelling alone and no other vehicles were involved.
The road has been closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 4.30am and 5.30am, to contact Buncrana Garda Station on 074 932 0540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
