The majestic Mourne Mountains dominate the constituency of South Down.
The incumbent Chris Hazzard is Sinn Féin's chosen candidate again. He’ll be hoping it’ll be an uphill battle for anyone hoping to wrest the seat from him.
His main rival will be fellow nationalist Colin McGrath of the SDLP - a well-regarded Stormont MLA who should provide a strong challenge.
Mr Hazzard has held the seat since he won it from former SDLP leader Margaret Ritchie in 2017, and goes into this election with a 1,600 majority.
Though he retained the seat in 2019, his vote share suffered and the SDLP ran him pretty close.
This seat had been an SDLP stronghold back in the days of party grandee Eddie McGrady, but in more recent times the nationalist electorate has tended towards Sinn Féin.
In the 2022 Stormont Assembly election, it had more than twice the SDLP vote and will be hoping to stretch its lead in the Westminster poll.
Tactical voting by unionists and boundary changes might add to the sum of the SDLP vote, so this is one to keep an eye on.
Alliance had been polling well in this constituency, but its former candidate in this seat has stepped away from politics and has been replaced by a relative novice.
For it and the other candidates, this is about visibility and building vote share for upcoming STV elections which are kinder to smaller parties.
