Sinn Féin has held this seat since 1992 and more than three decades on it will do so again.
West Belfast takes in the nationalist and unionist heartlands of the Falls Road and the Shankill Road, but nationalism dominates when the wider constituency is considered.
The Sinn Féin candidate is the incumbent Paul Maskey, who won it in 2019 with an over 14,000 majority.
It is a measure of Sinn Féin's eclipsing of the SDLP in this constituency that the party of John Hume and Seamus Mallon lies fourth here.
In second place, although way back, is People Before Profit which has elected an MLA from this constituency to Stormont in recent years.
The DUP lies third.
Sinn Féin holds the other four assembly seats.
Boundary changes will see thousands of new voters added to the constituency.
The newly added areas will favour unionism, but it will not have any major impact on the eventual outcome.
It might see the Sinn Féin majority dip a bit, but Mr Maskey will be re-elected.
The interest of the others will be in watching their vote share to see what it might mean at future Assembly elections.
