An 85-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an 81-year-old woman in Co Down.
Patricia 'Patsy' Aust's body was found inside a house in the Hawthorne Court area of Bangor on Sunday.
Police arrested the man at the scene.
A PSNI spokesperson said they received a report of the death of a woman shortly after 5.30pm on Sunday evening.
"On arrival, officers located the body of a woman in the living room area of the property," the spokesperson said.
"Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and inquiries are at an early stage in order to determine exactly what has happened."
The PSNI said the man is due appear before Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
