The trial of three men for the murder of journalist Lyra McKee in Derry five years ago has risen for the day to allow for legal argument.
The case against three Derry men had been due to begin in Belfast Crown Court this morning.
But when the case began it emerged there were issues to be resolved over the admissibility and discovery of evidence.
It could take some time for those matters to be addressed.
Seven other defendants were also in the dock at Belfast Crown Court on charges linked to disorder on the night Ms McKee was murdered.
The 29-year-old journalist was shot in the head as she observed rioting close to police lines in the Creggan area of the city.
The New IRA admitted responsibility for her murder.
Those charged with her murder are 35-year-old Peter Cavanagh of Mary Street; 23-year-old Jordan Devine of Bishop Street and 56-year-old Paul McIntyre of Kells Walk, all in the city.
They are all also charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The seven other defendants face a range of charges including possessing and throwing petrol bombs and rioting.
The trial will be heard in a Diplock court where there is no jury and only a judge hears the evidence.
Friends, family and a former partner of Ms McKee attended today's proceedings.
