A second man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 23-year-old nursing assistant found dead beside a burning car in Co Armagh just over a week ago.

Shane Harte, 31, of Headington House in Lurgan, was charged with the murder of Odhrán Kelly in the town in the early hours of 3 December.

Mr Kelly was found dead at Maple Court, just off Edward Street.

A detective sergeant told Lisburn Magistrates' Court he believed he could connect the accused to the charges. There was no application for bail.

Mr Harte was remanded in custody until 5 January, when he will reappear alongside another 31-year-old man, who is also accused of Mr Kelly's murder.

Two women have also been before the courts in connection with the killing.

They have been charged with assisting an offender by helping with the disposal of Mr Kelly's body.

Mr Kelly's funeral took place yesterday.

He worked at Craigavon Area Hospital and had been due to start a new job.
