A man in his 30s has been extradited from Northern Ireland to Germany to serve an eight-year prison sentence for serious sexual offences against children.
He was located in south Belfast last November and arrested on foot of an international warrant.
The man was taken to a prison in Northern Ireland and returned to Germany today to begin his sentence.
Police said the arrest of the fugitive showed that Northern Ireland would not be a "safe haven" for wanted people seeking to evade justice.
