A concert planned to thank emergency services personnel for their work at the scene of the Creeslough tragedy has sold out.

Ten people, including three children, were killed in the blast at the Applegreen Service Station in Creeslough, Co Donegal, on 7 October.

Tickets for 'Together for Creeslough' went on sale at four outlets in Donegal at 9am on Saturday and were sold out before day's end.

The event at the Aura Centre in Letterkenny on 30 January will feature Brian McFadden, Keith Duffy, Brian Kennedy, Mickey Joe Harte, Lisa McHugh and The Whistling Donkeys.

The gala evening will be co-hosted by Clannad's Moya Brennan and Altan's Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh.

Speaking at Wednesday's launch via video link, Former Westlife star Brian McFadden, whose father, Brendan is a native of Creeslough, said the strength of the Creeslough community has been incredible.

"Hopefully, on this night we can celebrate the people of Creeslough and how incredible they really were amongst all of this," he commented.

'Together for Creeslough' will be recorded by TG4 and a two-hour television special will be screened after the event.
