A man has died and a woman has been seriously injured in a two-car collision in Co Donegal last night.
The collision occurred on the Mountain Road between Buncrana and Carndonagh at around 10.50pm.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead and the scene.
His body has been removed to Letterkenny University Hospital.
A man and a woman in the second car were taken to LUH following the crash.

The woman, who is in her 30s and a passenger in the car, is said to be in a serious condition.
The Mountain Road (R244) is closed between Buncrana and Carndonagh and diversions are in place at Drumfries and Churchlanquarters.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, particularly road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to contact Buncrana Garda Station 074 932 0540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
The man's death was the third road fatality yesterday, following separate crashes in Meath and Westmeath.
Latest figures from An Garda Síochána show that 60 people have died on the roads so far this year.
This compares to 37 people who died in road crashes in the same period last year, a 62% increase.
However, Level 5 Covid restrictions were in place for the first few months of 2021, which included limits on travel.
Of the 60 road fatalities so far this year, 30 were drivers, 11 were motorcyclists and ten were pedestrians.
