Police are investigating the attempted theft of an ATM in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, in the early hours of this morning.
The PSNI says it was alerted to the attempt at around 5.20am, from a petrol station on the Sligo road near Scaffog.
Police responded to the incident, but when they arrived at the scene, two male suspects had made off.
No money is believed to have been taken, however significant damage was done to the machine itself.
PSNI officers remain at the scene, and say their investigation is at an early stage.
They have said they want to reassure the community they will do everything they can to catch those responsible, and are working with gardaí to do so.
They have urged anyone with information, or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between 11pm last night and 6am this morning, to contact them.
