A 12-year-old boy has been charged by police following disorder in Derry on Thursday.  

The PSNI said the boy had been charged with riotous behaviour and possessing an article with intent to damage property.  

Petrol bombs were thrown at officers during a security alert in the Moss Park area of Derry on Thursday night.

The boy is due to appear in court on 18 June.  

Two 16-year-old boys who were also arrested were released on bail pending further police inquiries.
