An elderly woman has died after she was struck by a truck in Co Monaghan.
The collision happened at around midday on Main Street in Carrickmacross.
The 75-year-old local woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
Diversions are in place and the road will remain closed for a technical examination by garda forensic collision investigators.
