The body of a 31-year-old man has been recovered from Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The body of Kenny Andrews, who was from Bangor and was the managing director of Newtownards-based company, Damp Proofing NI, was located in the water yesterday evening.

He went missing following an incident involving a jet ski at around 5pm on Sunday.

A 28-year-old man was rescued from the water on Sunday but the search for Mr Andrews continued into Monday.

The operation involved the Enniskillen RNLI and Carrybridge RNLI inshore lifeboats along with the Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118 and local onshore search teams.

Rosemary Barton, MLA for Fermanagh and South Tyrone said: "This is very sad news particularly at the end of a beautiful summer when this recreation area around Muckross Bay was a hive of activity each weekend with boats, water skiers, jet skis, and families enjoying picnics in this picturesque area near Kesh."

Mr Andrews’ fiancée and family have expressed their thanks to the emergency services who were involved in the search for him.
