A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an altercation outside a pub in Co Antrim.

The incident involving a number of people happened at around 1am outside a pub on Main Street in Ballycarry, Co Antrim.

Three men, two aged in their 30s and one in his 60s, were treated in hospital for stab wounds after the incident.

Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and remain in police custody.

The PSNI are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.
