Six people have been arrested by police investigating the theft of several thousand pounds in Co Fermanagh.

Several thousand pounds were stolen from an ATM at a shop in Trory on the outskirts of Enniskillen.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 1.30am and 5.30am this morning.

A woman and five men, aged between 22 and 51, were later arrested in the Crossgar area.

Detective Inspector Trevor Stevenson said the burglary was reported to police at around 11am.

They believe street lighting and alarm wires were cut before thieves forced entry to the premises.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
