An investigation is under way after road signs near the Dark Hedges site in Co Antrim were vandalised.
The road near Ballymoney featured in the HBO series Game of Thrones and has become a popular tourist destination.
DUP MLA Mervyn Storey said the vandalism was a mindless and foolish act.
The main road through the Dark Hedges has been closed to vehicles for some weeks because of the large volume of visitor traffic at the location.
