A major fundraising concert for people affected by the recent floods in Inishowen in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, has raised around €36,000 for the Red Cross.

Daniel O'Donnell headlined a host of country music stars who performed free at the Flood Aid concert at the Aura centre.

The singer said that you could not but be moved by the plight of people who suffered because of the floods and that the concert was about showing solidarity with them as well as raising money for the Red Cross to distribute to those who need it.

Among those performing with Daniel were Nathan Carter, Big Tom, Declan Nerney and Dominic Kieran.
