A man has been injured in what the PSNI have described as a 'brutal and horrific' attack in Belfast.

The 30-year-old man was shot twice in the incident in the early hours of this morning on Henry Place in the city.

The attack happened at around 1.30am.

The victim was attacked by two men and shot once in either leg in what the PSNI called a paramilitary-style shooting.

They have appealed for anyone with any information about the attack to contact them.
