Visiting restrictions imposed at Letterkenny University Hospital earlier this week as a result of an outbreak of the Norovirus have been lifted for most of the hospital.
All wards are now open for normal visiting with the exception of Surgical 2.
However, hospital management still ask visitors to be vigilant with hand hygiene when attending the hospital and to follow standard guidelines.
People experiencing vomiting and/or diarrhoea at home should not visit the hospital.
