Visiting restrictions which were imposed at Letterkenny University Hospital on Monday remain in place.
The ban on visiting came into effect due to an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea at three wards in the hospital - Medical 3, Medical 5 and Surgical 2.
Management say people who are experiencing vomiting and diarrhea should not visit the hospital under any circumstances.
Children under the age of 12 are also advised not to visit the hospital.
However special arrangements are in place for the next of kin of those in ICU and the Maternity unit, where those wishing to visit should contact the hospital in advance.
