Detectives in London investigating the disappearance of a man who went missing 25 years ago have released an artist's impression of what they believe he may look like today in a bid to discover his whereabouts.

Darren Tunstall was aged 20 when he was last seen by his family on 3 December 1992.

They say he was familiar with parts of Ireland.

He was living with his parents and sister in Walthamstow and did not return home after informing them that he was visiting friends for the weekend.

Darren's family has not given up hope of finding him and are working with the Missing People charity to appeal for his whereabouts.

His father, Colin, said that Darren would now be 45-years-old. He is 6ft 4ins tall with size 15 feet.

Colin said that his son liked spending time on his own, loved the outdoors and would have been familiar with parts of Ireland, having spent family holidays here.

Detective Sergeant James Hardingham said: "At this time of year, when families are looking forward to the festive season, their thoughts often turn to loved ones who are missing.

Police said there are hopeful that the new appeal for help, alongside the release of the e-fit of Darren, may finally encourage Darren or anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Metropolitan Police in London.
