Finances and fares

On tonight's show we'll be discussing economic matters once again.

Various Sunday newspapers speculated about the government looking to find €4bn of cuts, we ask where that may be found.

In studio we'll have Dan Boyle of the Green Party, Dan O'Brien, economics editor of The Irish Times and Blair Horan of the CPSU, amongst others.

Later in the show we'll be discussing the difficult financial position in which many taxi drivers say they've found themselves in recent years. They claims it's the fault of the regulator. Many now claim the job is uneconomical as there is too more competition for fares. But proponents of the regulator's decisions point to the improved availability and cost of taxi journeys.
