Two Syrian brothers from Damascus who made the perilous boat crossing to Italy have told Christopher McKevitt about their experience.
They did not want to be identified.
They were in a family party of twelve which included seven children.
They are currently staying in a shelter in Milan from where they hope to start new lives in Sweden.
