The country's main intellectual disability organisation has said the lack of speech and language therapists for children with special needs has reached crisis point.
In a report published today, Inclusion Ireland highlights major discrepancies between services in different parts of the country.
The organisation says the Government must double the number of speech and language therapists in the system.
