Waterford payroll software firm Pimbrook has been acquired by the Dublin-headquartered Noledge Group.

Noledge is a cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial management software specialist.

The exact financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

However, Noledge expects revenue at the enlarged group to almost double from €5.7m in 2025 to €10m by the end of the year.

Pimbrook's 14 employees, including its managing director, Stephanie Davies and operations director, Tom Shields, will join the Noledge team and grow the group's workforce to 67.

The business will retain the Pimbrook name and continue to operate as a standalone company.

For over 20 years, Tramore-based Pimbrook has provided Sage accounting and payroll software and services to 1,750 customers in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ireland and the UK.

These customers operate in sectors including manufacturing, construction and healthcare.

Noledge has said the acquisition will benefit Pimbrook's customers through the provision of "a broader range of financial management and ERP solutions, deeper expertise, and increased resources."

In turn, the company said the deal will allow it to deliver enhanced financial management and ERP solutions to an expanded customer base across all market segments, including small, medium, and large enterprises.

The Noledge Group has more than 2,000 customers across Ireland and the UK.

The acquisition of Pimbrook will establish Noledge's fourth office with the company already having a physical presence in Belfast, Dublin and Newcastle.

Ray Ryan, CEO of The Noledge Group, said the move represents a significant growth opportunity for the company and reflects the strength of the combined businesses.

He said: "We also recognise the huge advantages of regional investment, and we plan to tap into Pimbrook's impressive presence in the south east to continue to grow the business outside of Dublin.

"The move strengthens our market position as a leading provider of financial management software and ERP solutions that are tailored to customers' needs and, in turn, drive faster growth for businesses."

Meanwhile, the managing director of Pimbrook, Stephanie Davies said: "The expanded company will equip businesses with an enhanced suite of tools that will support their continued growth and innovation.

"Our shared purpose and core values will also enable the group to accelerate its own growth and cement its place as a leader in the market," Ms Davies added.
