Households and businesses are again without water in the isolated village of Adrigole in west Cork following a burst water main.

Uisce Éireann say they are working to restore the supply and water should be back before 10pm tonight.

Since July of last year, locals have been left without water on 15 occasions due to a troublesome water main along the Healy Pass road.

Work to replace two kilometres of failing infrastructure from Adriogle village to the treatment plant was given the go-ahead last month but won't begin until the late Spring, with an approximate completion date of July.
