A pharmacy in Co Meath has reopened in temporary premises after an arson attack on its shop just a few days ago.
Donna McQuaid who owns and operates McQuaid's Pharmacy in Co Meath says "it's thanks to all the good of people of Oldcastle who have rallied around us".
The pharmacy is now operating, on the square in Oldcastle, in a space lent by a neighbouring business, a recently opened gym.
The permanent premises remain closed after the arson attack in the early hours of Thursday morning.
It is understood that an accelerant, believed to be petrol, was poured around the shop before being set alight. It is not believed any good were stolen.
The original pharmacy adjoins the Oldcastle Court Hotel, whose owner had previously enquired with authorities about using it as an IPAS centre.
Last June, the Department of Justice said it was no longer considering the hotel for accommodating International Protection Applicants.
The community in Oldcastle has been left in both shock and anger, as Ms McQuaid's premises has been destroyed.
Donna McQuaid has been running the pharmacy for over 20 years.
