A man in his 20s, arrested in relation to a road crash in Co Louth in which a motorcyclist was killed, has been released without charge.

A file is to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A van and a motorcycle collided on James Street in Drogheda at around 7.10am on 29 August last.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced dead at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
