Rain and wind warnings issued for seven counties

Status Yellow rain and wind warnings have been issued for seven counties.

Met Éireann has warned of heavy rain and possible spot flooding, difficult travelling conditions and loose debris during the warnings.

A rain warning for counties Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo is currently in place until 9pm.

A wind warning for Co Donegal will come into effect at 12pm and last until 4pm.

Counties Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo will be under a wind warning between 1pm and 10pm.

A separate wind warning will come into effect for Co Wicklow at 3pm and will be in effect until 8pm.

Met Éireann also issued a wind warning for Co Clare, which will be in effect from 7pm and will expire at 10pm.
