Irish Rail has apologised to customers for delays of up to three hours on its services from the south of the country this morning.
This delay was due to the breakdown of the 7.05am train from Killarney to Heuston at Killarney Junction which impacted services from Cork's Kent Station and Mallow.
A relief locomotive was dispatched and the service between Killarney to Heuston has now resumed albeit three hours behind schedule.
