A man in his 70s has died following a workplace accident at a premises on the outskirts of Athlone.
Gardaí and the emergency services were alerted to the incident at a premises in Bealnamulla at around 2pm.
The Health and Safety Authority has been notified and is currently at the scene.
Gardaí said a file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court, and investigations are ongoing.
