Two men were treated in hospital following a chemical spill at a pharmaceutical company in Co Cork.
The men, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 50s, were taken to Cork University Hospital following the incident.
It happened at the Janssen Sciences Ireland plant in Ringaskiddy before 6pm yesterday.
It is understood that three people were splashed with a chemical substance.
They were treated at the scene by emergency first responders with two of them taken to CUH, before being discharged last night.
The third man did not require hospital treatment.
The Health and Safety Authority, which investigates workplace incidents, was notified of the incident.
In a statement, Janssen Sciences Ireland confirmed that the incident took place and said the HSA has been notified.
It said: "Janssen Sciences Ireland can confirm that an incident occurred at approximately 17:15 at its facility in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.
"The safety of those working on our site is paramount. Three individuals were treated at the scene by Janssen first responders. As per procedures, the emergency services were contacted.
"Two of the individuals were subsequently taken to Cork University Hospital by ambulance.
"The Health and Safety Authority has been notified of the incident."
